As a Suicide Prevention Coach with the Ontario Centre of Excellence for Child and Youth Mental Health (Children's Hospital for Eastern Ontario), Dr. Deb and community partners in the Simcoe Muskoka District, co-founded (John Rice, Ojibway & Dr. Ed Connors, Mohawk) the Feather Carriers: Leadership for Life Promotion (2015) an aspiring national wise practice for youth mental health and wellness, engaging traditional cultural teachings as life promotion/premature death (suicide) prevention.
